Choose Your Competition
Enter Men's, Women's or Mixed Doubles, or Open Singles. Doubles players can enter with a partner or seek one.
Play Your Box
You'll be grouped by ability. Contact your opponents and arrange matches at mutually convenient times and venues.
Report & Progress
Submit your scores, earn league points, build your DUPR rating and compete for promotion in the next round.

Match format
Matches are best of three games. Each game is first to 11 points, winning by one clear point.
Scheduling
Players arrange their own matches and share any court-hire costs. Boxes generally contain 6–9 players or pairs, depending on entries.

Who can enter?
The current 2026/27 registration is for fully paid-up DINK Brighton members only. Competition options are Men's, Women's and Mixed Doubles, plus Open Singles.
Do I need a doubles partner?
You can register with your chosen partner or indicate that you're looking for one. Partner matching is subject to availability and cannot be guaranteed.
Who arranges matches and pays for courts?
Players are responsible for contacting their box opponents, agreeing a date, time and venue, and sharing court-hire costs. A club-session court may be possible if available, but cannot be guaranteed; court hire and session attendance charges may both apply.
Can I borrow equipment?
Contact the club on WhatsApp to ask about borrowing a net, paddle or balls for a match.
How do I submit results?
The winning player or team should submit accurate scores promptly after the match, using the result-reporting process communicated for the season. Results will be submitted to DUPR.
How do promotion and relegation work?
Players or teams should complete at least two matches to be eligible for promotion or to avoid relegation. Playing only one may affect final placing; playing none may lead to demotion. The league director may adjust placements for withdrawals or new entrants while making every effort to avoid unnecessary demotions.
What if an opponent cannot play?
A walkover may be claimed where you have offered at least three dates, the opponent has declined them and offered no alternatives. If both sides have suggested a date, a walkover cannot be claimed under the existing rule.
Can players join or leave during a round?
The league director may add or reposition players or teams at their discretion, including where injuries, withdrawals or new memberships change box sizes.
Are matches submitted to DUPR?
Yes. Box League results are intended to be submitted to DUPR so players can continue developing their ratings.
How long does a season last?
Dates and match deadlines are confirmed for each round. Check the current Box League page or club communications for the active season timetable.
